Review from Pivo Pivo
"Next up were a young, fresh-faced five-piece rock band from Livingston called Compliments of. This exciting little group of newcomers still need a little bit of work on their live act but that is in no way a criticism of the lads, as it's not the talent they lack, they just need to build on the stage presence a little bit! Keep in mind that this was only their second live gig (Trust me, you would never have guessed they hadn't played more) so that's something that makes all relatively new bands look a little rough around the edges. Compliments of added a couple of well known covers to beef up their set time, including She Fucking Hates Me by Puddle Of Mudd which went down well with the crowd and I think the lads pulled off what could possibly be a very tricky song to excel at with serious aplomb and attitude. It wasn't the covers that impressed me though, so much as their own tracks which were not only well written lyrically, but packed some serious punch in the guitar department too. Drums clashed, Riffs exploded, melodies were tight, and although I felt the vocals could have went a tad louder they were still soaring and confident...I pretty much thought they were great.Compliments Of are certainly a band not only to look out for in future, but one I would have no hesitation in inviting back in a few months just to see how far they had came since this gig. If they keep getting better at the same speed as they appear to be doing now, There should be no stopping them."
